Last night’s episode of Famously Single carried on in the same way that all the other episodes have. We got to see some relationship drama, therapy sessions and a group activity.
We picked up with Brandi and Callum. These two are still dealing with that fight that they had after their group session. She still feels like she was his second choice and he doesn’t see it that way, so he’s trying to plead his case, while, simultaneously, trying to make her feel like she’s at fault.
To be completely honest, I’m a little over these two because I feel like they’re developing this vicious cycle. They’ll fight, make up and be all up under each other and soon after that (usually after he’s had a couple drinks) they’ll be fighting again. I don’t think they’re good for one another. He needs to get his drinking and emotions under control and she needs to focus on what she originally came on the show for.
Aubrey and Pauly are also still dating, but I get the impression that she’s more into than he is. She wants a full commitment and he isn’t ready for that. He wants to be with Aubrey (and I’m not sure if that’s because he genuinely wants to be with her or because she’s just so persistent), but he also likes participating in the program. Obviously, he can’t do both, so I feel like he might be pulling back from her a little. But, on the other hand, Aubrey is moving WAY TO FAST! I mean, she’s already discussing marriage and she can’t even get Pauly to admit that he’s falling in love with her. I’m not sure how much time they’ve known each other, but it couldn’t have been more than a couple months.
She’s they type of girl who jumps into relationships head first, while he’s a little bit more cautious because he isn’t as experienced in serious relationships as she is. She needs to slow down and give him some time to adjust, but, on the same token, he also needs to figure out what he wants from her. Is he open to being fully committed to her (0r any woman) or is that something that he’s still not ready for?
In addition to another therapy session with Callum, Dr. Darcy also met with Jessica. This was Jessica’s first therapy session, so I was pretty interesting in seeing how it would turn out. It’s not hard to tell that Jessica is very introverted and, according to the other celebs, she rarely interacts with them and she’s always kind of standoffish. I didn’t understand why, but after she explained her upbringing and her relationships with her parents, it became crystal clear why she keeps people at a distance. I’m glad that she recognized it and, hopefully, now she’ll start working on those things.
The activity for this week was for the cast mates to go on a date with the people that they chose at the end of last week’s episode. Aubrey, Pauly, Brandi and Callum all went on a double date; and Jessica and Somaya went on a date together since they didn’t choose anyone. That means that Willis and Josh were to only two who actually went on a date with someone outside of the house.
Josh’s date was good. He seemed like he had a good time and, once again, I am seeing him open up a lot more, but Willis’ date was awkward. He was annoyed at her, which I don’t blame him for, so it was kind of hard for them to connect after he had already checked out.
I’m not even sure how to categorize that double date. It wasn’t 100% good, but it wasn’t 100% terrible either. However, someone did end the night in tears over a mishap that happened while the couples were leaving the restaurant and a couple did end up getting into a semi-disagreement in the kitchen when they got home. So, I would say that the double date itself wasn’t bad, it was just the events that happened after the date that killed the night.
But, I can think of two house mates who killed the night in the best way possible.

Overall, the episode was good and I can’t wait until next week because some of the choices that were made in this episode may be the start of some drama in episode 7. I think that there’s definitely going to be some hurt feelings.
What did you think of episode 6 of Famously Single? Did you like it and what did you think of all that happened after that double date? Let me know.
Famously Single airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on E!.
